Расскажу и своём опыте, приумноженном студентами, возможно он кому-то пригодится.
На 4 курсе блок по грамматике, посвящённый изучению модальных глаголов, должен был завершиться творческим заданием: студенты должны были придумать... сказку. Цель этого задания - дать краткую характеристику модальным глаголам английского языка для тех, кто только начинает знакомиться с категорией модальности.

Shall story

I’d like to reveal you a secret. It turns out that there are a lot of castes in England as in some other east countries.(Каста - замкнутое наследственное сословие; членам К. воспрещается переход в другое сословие и вступление в брак с представителями других сословий, иногда даже не допускается общение с ними). it’s noun caste, adverb caste, pronoun caste, verb caste and others. There are also some little castes: preposition c., interjection c., conjunction caste. Today I’ll tell you about the verb caste. There is a big family in this caste – Modalities. It consists of 7 brothers. They are: can, may, need, shall, ought, will, must. In spite of the friendship, the members of the same family can’t stand each other on the same territory. In comparison with other brothers Shall is more kind. If Must-Grumbler likes to demand, Shall just gives us advice. And his best friend is Ought who also likes to give advice. They often support and substitute each other. Shall is а very beautiful person. He has three main features of character which are  concrete, imperative and suppositional.  Sometimes Shall would be capricious.I really like Shall. He is a very attractive person, don’t you think so? Just look at him! I think you should make a friend with “Shall”.
